September 30, 2024

Thirty days has September ...
Endless sunshine
Blue skies
Shouldn't we see more fall colors by now? I suppose we need cooler weather, maybe a frost ...

I haven't heard farmers grumbling. The harvest is rolling, dust is flying.

One of these days we will need rain.

A beautiful day to drive to Wisconsin on a winding country road. We drove to Sheldon for my aunt's funeral September 21st. Grace was 93 years old.

              Cousins by the dozens
This is only a portion of the Martin cousins.
Grandpa and Grandma Martin have 78 grandchildren.

Grandpa and Grandma Skrivseth have 57.

To find out how many cousins requires some simple math that soon gets complicated.
Subtract myself and my siblings
I can't count the double cousins twice.
(Four Martins married four Skrivseths)
I counted and recounted and came up with 98 first cousins!

A napkin found at our places at a family reunion. Maria brought them and we all laughed. We played Code Names at that reunion and laughed some more.

Meanwhile - every afternoon finds me at the bus garage. In the country as I'm driving I find the color yellow everywhere. I should collect photos of that yellow.
