No matter how many times we remind ourselves that Ralph was ready to meet his Savior and looked forward to going home, this wake up call came with a jolt.
We tell each other, "We're all getting older. Who knows which one of us will be next. Treasure your family today."
C M Russell museum in Great Falls MT with Ralph and Relanda. At the time I thought, "If I see another painting of a cowboy on horseback with gun in hand aiming at another rattlesnake it will be too soon."
Today it is a special memory of two brothers connecting once again. There were many conversations. My niece, Relanda, and I had a wonderful time comparing notes on the life story of this famous painter and his wife.
Later, we met Evelyn and had lunch together at one of their favorite restaurants. What a fun chance to catch up on everything that's happened with our families since the last time we met.
That whole day is framed in our minds as the last time we saw Ralph in this life. A simple day of catching up with family ...
On February 28th our family got together to remember Ralph and support his family. It was a time to once again connect.
A beautiful sunshiny day of 60° - that's unusual weather for this time of year. We are grateful for this gift of a day to visit family, reminisce and continue on this journey of grief together.
